Why Join Advancing Women In Product

AWIP is a great community of women leaders, mentors and advocates. Joining AWIP has allowed me to gain valuable skills and knowledge around the world of PM and made me a better, more driven professional.

Volunteering With AWIP

There are multiple opportunities to volunteer with AWIP. The following teams are looking for volunteers to support at one-time events or more deeply on an on-going basis.

Programming Team

The programs team leads AWIP's efforts to host high-quality workshops and events to advance AWIP's mission of equality of opportunity for everyone. Team members lead events end-to-end, starting with content creation - all the way through moderating and day-of logistics. Volunteers will get the opportunity to socialize with leaders and executives in an intimate setting. To date, we've held over 50 events in SF, Seattle, Boston, and Paris - with top-tier venture-backed startups as well as larger companies.

Marketing Team

The marketing team is a core team within AWIP. The marketing team ensures that AWIP is aptly represented in all of our online channels, from our website to our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Meetup). The marketing team will have the ability to deeply impact all of the core initiatives at AWIP, from programs to our flagship annual Executive Summit. We have created marketing relationships with both non-profit organizations, such as Girls in Tech and Women in Product - to larger companies such as Amazon and Microsoft.

Partnerships Team

The partnerships team leads the way for establishing key relationships and makes connections with partner organizations who share the mission of empowering and increasing women leadership in tech. Team members connect with organizations across the Bay Area (or beyond) to determine mutually beneficial goals. If you are interested in expanding your network and meeting current and future partners of AWIP, please reach out to us now!
