Nancy is an experienced enterprise software product manager and VC, currently leading core product lines and a stealth product line (to be launched 2019) at Rubrik (a billion-dollar unicorn startup company invested in by Lightspeed, Greylock, Khosla, and IVP). She was also a former PM at Google, leading product development for the Google Fiber network monitoring platform; as the only female on both her teams at Google and now Rubrik, she is passionate about diversity and is an avid supporter of women empowerment in STEM through founding Advancing Women in Product, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing equal opportunities in tech for men and women. Nancy graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied engineering, European history, and biotechnology..  


Sarah Rocio Niehaus

Director of Programming | Head of Product, Augmedix

Sarah is Head of Product at, Augmedix, venture-backed startup where she and her team are developing a platform to rehumanize the physician-patient encounter through wearable technology. Previously, she worked in healthcare consulting at Health Advances as a member of their forecasting and business analytics practice. Sarah graduated with a degree in engineering from Dartmouth College where she focused on medical device design and human-computer interface. Prior to AWIP she co-founded a women's organization for her alma mater in the Bay Area. Sarah is passionate about organizations driven to support women in the workplace, and is excited to run programming for AWIP.


David cheng

Director of Content Strategy | DCM Ventures, Investment Manager

David is an Investment Manager at DCM Ventures, a $3.5B global venture capital firm. Prior to DCM Ventures, David spent time as a product manager at StreetEasy (acq by Zillow) and Accenture Management Consulting. He graduated with a Bachelors degree from New York University. On a more personal note, David is a die-hard Bay Area sports fan and is proud to boast that he was a Warriors fan during the dark days when Thunder was still the mascot. Additionally, he is also an aspiring foodie and amateur chef. One of his very first jobs was as a line cook for New York City’s first Korean Taco Truck, Korilla BBQ.


Patrick Yang

Director of Ambassador Program | General Partner & Co-Founder, Amity Ventures

Patrick Yang is a venture capitalist excited to work with the next generation of entrepreneurs and help more people break into the technology field. He is currently a Co-Founder and General Partner at Amity Ventures, a technology venture capital firm based in San Francisco. Previously, Patrick was an investor at Highland Capital Partners, a 30 year old global venture capital firm where he focused on enterprise and frontier technologies. Prior to that he worked in Morgan Stanley's technology investment banking group. Patrick graduated with a Business Administration degree from the University of California, Berkeley.  Kevin works with entrepreneurs building B2B software and services businesses. Previously, he was an early team member at Fundera, a Khosla/First Round-backed financial technology company, where he eventually led product for two years. Kevin graduated with a degree in Economics-Political Science from Columbia University.

Gordon Yu is chief legal officer of a parent holding company in the healthcare field and adjunct professor of business law at the George Washington University. Previously, he worked as lobbyist on Capitol Hill and an appellate litigator for Reed Smith in NYC, one of the largest law firms in the world.



Director of  Operations | Product Manager, Henny Penny Corporation

Roshni is an experienced product manager with skillset in User Research, Interface Design, Software Development and Product Management. She spearheaded company’s first industrial IoT (unified kitchen OS) product initiative from concept to completion and was awarded President’s Innovation Award. She is also the Director of Operations & Marketing for a non-profit advancing women in product (AWIP) where she currently drives end-to-end technology strategy (website, social media, IT) and also designs both internal board as well as member community experience to enhance user engagement and experience.

Prior to forming Ballot, she was the Great Streets Analyst with the Washington, DC's Mayor's Office where she managed a nine-million dollar budget tasked with revitalizing thirteen neighborhoods throughout the District. Previously, she was a political operative for four years where she led local, statewide, and federal political campaigns. Karissa Barnett received her bachelor's degree in political science from University of California, San Diego.

Linh is currently a Product Manager at Science Exchange, a platform for outsourcing R&D. She is passionate about building products that have an impact on the world. Prior to Science Exchange, she was a Product Manager at Theranos and a Consultant at Accenture. She is no stranger to non-profits; she was once on the executive board for Women in Network, a non-profit for empowering and mentoring females. In her spare time, she enjoys being an amateur photographer (although she done a few pro-bono wedding and engagement photoshoots), traveling, and staying active. She received her degree in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research at UC Berkeley, but she is back at Cal working towards her Master of Information & Data Science concurrently with building her career in product.

Deepika is a product geek with a passion for building and leading product teams and working with engineers and designers to build and launch great products that customers love. She currently leads product management for the Amazon Alexa product. Prior to that, she was the head of product management at Marketron and built the first programmatic ad buying marketplace platform for the radio industry; in addition, her entrepreneurial bent of mind led her to co-found a fashion marketplace startup - Hautely based in Singapore. She led product for Intel's IoT and enterprise platforms for many years prior to that. As someone who is passionate about solving the diversity issue in tech, she is proud to have co-founded AWIP (Advancing Women in Product), a non-profit focused on empowering women to pursue careers in product management. She has an MBA from the Wharton school, a Master's degree in Computer Science from UC Davis and a Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science from Osmania University. When she is not working, she is an avid yogi and a cinephile.
